Painting and Exercise

This morning I made the boys cream of wheat. Ronde wouldn't let me feed it to him so I just gave him the bowl and spoon and let him feed himself. He looked so cute so I just had to capture this moment. The kids have been going stir crazy in this house and honestly so have I. There is really nothing to do around here and I'm so ready for a change. I was going to take the kids out for a walk but then it started to rain. So I decided to let the kids paint on the back porch. AJ gets to paint all of the time but Ronde hasn't done much painting or art in general so I waited for Ronde to wake up for his nap to get started. Andre came outside and started taking pictures and actually wanted to paint himself..lol.
All this sitting around the house and is really getting to me. I really want to start working out. The idea of going to a gym just bores me though. I go for a walk everyday but I know that doesn't do much for toning. So I'm gonna try to get out of the house more with the family and play tennis, go to the batting cages, driving range, and play basketball. On top of that I would like to start jogging and buy some hand weights so I can start doing my 30 Day Shred video again. I'm only young once and I wanna look good before these days are over.

Another day at the beach..

Another Goodbye

Our dear friend Matt just got out of the Navy. He leaves on Tuesday to move back to Washington State to be with his wife and 2 daughters. Matt is a great guy. He is great with my boys. We played tennis with him everyday for a month straight. He's got a great sense of humor and we are really going to miss him. I'm sure we will run into him and his family again later in life. Here are a few pictures from his going away party we attended last night.

Here he is cutting one of his famous steaks. It was so good!

The many faces of Ronde

What a face!

The broken arm and new haircut

He is so cute. He kept asking for a new haircut but daddy didn't want him to cut his hair. He liked AJ's fro. After some convincing, Andre agreed so I took him yesterday to the barber shop on base and AJ did a great job. He really wanted this haircut!

Re-Enlistment

Today, my husband re-enlisted in the Navy for another 2 years. He does plan on staying in for a total of 20 years. The kids and I had to get up at 6am to get dressed and ready to go to the hanger and watch him swear in. It was very nice. I got to meet his Chiefs, Commanding Officer, and some of the people he works with. Everyone had great things to say about him. They said that he the hardest worker and that everyone should follow by his example. I'm so proud of him! He received a certificate and an American Flag. Our children and I also received certificates for thanks of supporting him, making sacrifices, and staying loyal/faithful to him. I love him so much and know that he is doing the best he can for our family.

Andre also finally submitted his security clearance to be accepted into Flight Engineer school. He has always dreamed about being a pilot and a Flight Engineer is the next best thing. Flight Engineers get to fly right along side of the pilot and works all the switches and buttons it takes to fly a plane. He strives to become someone great. He never settles for anything less. Here are some pictures from this morning.
Swearing in..

Receiving his certificate...

After receiving his American Flag..everyone was clapping for him.. Supporting him all the way!

I'm still alive..

My birthday recently passed and my husband bought me a new camera! I just need to get a memory card for it. That's the reason I haven't been posting any new blogs because I have no pictures to go with them :(

AJ broke his arm 2 days ago. This is the second time he has broken his right arm. I really hope it's the last time because it kills me every time. The first time he broke it in a bouncy house that we rented for his 2nd birthday. This time he broke it just by running in the backyard, tripped, and landed really hard on his arm. My poor baby. I swear it's always one thing after another around here. Here are some pics from our 4th of July...we spent it grilling Jerk chicken at the beach with our good friends Trevor, Arycca, and their little boy Malakai..we let them in on our secret spot :0)
