Hello My Friends

So I finally get to update my blog. There has been a lot of things going on. Andre got orders finally to Oklahoma so I've been busy packing. I donated all our temporary furniture to Salvation Army. I rented a Uhaul trailer and drove with all 3 kids to Pensacola to meet up with Andre today. Tomorrow, we will drive to Oklahoma together. It was really sad saying goodbye to my family. My mom and sister have helped me so much with the kids and kept me sane. I'm just thankful that I was able to spend 7 months back home with them after living away in Hawaii for 4 years.
This move has been a breeze so far. I found a nice house just 10 minutes from the base. It has a fenced backyard that I know the kids will love. The walls are already painted with color instead of boring white paint!! I can't wait to start decorating.

Jamal is getting so big. He'll be 1 month old tomorrow! He still sleeps the majority of the day and wakes up for a bottle 3 times a night. Jamal loves cuddling with me and watching his brothers. AJ has been such a big help especially on our road trip. He makes sure Jamal has his paci and even helps feed him bottles. We are still working on Ronde though. He loves his little brother so much that he's always in Jamal's face giving him kisses.

Happy Birthday Andre!!!

Today is Andre's 25th birthday. I made him a big breakfast..steak, eggs, potatoes, and toast.
AJ and I baked him a birthday cake. AJ helped with adding the ingredients, licking the spoons, and spreading the icing on the cake. AJ and Ronde both put the candles on the cake themselves. We all gave him cards. I let the boys pick out which ones they wanted to give to their daddy and they signed them too.

The boys helped blow out the candles...
And I think I caught a little smile from Jamal...

Brotherly Love

I'm so excited for AJ. He has been my biggest supporter and participant in my pregnancy since Andre has been away. No one was more excited about the new baby than AJ was. He used to put his head on my belly and wait for Jamal to kick. AJ would kiss my belly, hug me and say that I was beautiful. He is such an amazing little boy and I'm so happy to be able to give him another little brother.

First Bath at Home and Doctor's Appointment

Yesterday morning, Jamal had his first sponge bath at home. Andre and I bathed him together. Jamal didn't like it too much but that was to be expected. He is so little, I wish he would stay this way forever!

After his bath, I had to get him dressed, fed, and out the door for his first doctor's appointment. The doctor said he is a little jaundice but wasn't worried about it. Jamal is now 7lbs.That is 9 ounces down from his birth weight. Now that my milk has came in, I'm sure he'll start packing on the ounces.

Jamal's First Night Home

I will be doing a lot of updating this next couple days. My computer has died and I'm using my husband's laptop for the time being. Andre will be leaving next Wednesday to go back to Pensacola. We are still waiting on orders to Oklahoma so we can all move together.

Yesterday we got home from the hospital at 1pm. Andre made me lunch while Jamal and I got settled in. These were the flowers Andre surprised me with the day he came back home.

My mom and sister were pretty anxious to see Jamal again so they came over for a visit. My mom watched the kids for me while I was at the hospital for 3 days. I'm so thankful for her. She made us a lot of food to last over the next couple of days. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beens, soup, ranch chicken ball dip and crackers, ice cream, and all the fixings for sandwiches.
After they left, we went for our first family walk. It was also the first time trying out my new sit and stand stroller. I'm really happy with it. Jamal is a little jaundice so a little sun light was necessary besides I wanted to stretch my legs after being in a hospital bed for so long.
Jamal does a lot of sleeping during the day, then is awake a lot at night. That is when he wants to be comforted even after he has breastfed. I'm usually awake every hour at night but he's worth it.
