Ronde's first haircut

About every time I left the house and went in public, someone would mistaken Ronde for a girl. I just don't understand how since he wears boys clothes and polo shirts all the time. Anyway, so I decided maybe it was time to cut his hair. His roots were changing texture and curling while the ends of his hair were straight. I took him to a barber shop on base where a lot of military men go to get haircuts. That was were AJ got his first haircut as well. I expected that Ronde would cry because every time I brush his hair he cried..lol. Surprisingly he did wonderful! AJ was first (He didn't need a haircut but he wanted one because he knows that he'll get a lollipop)and I told them to cut it short and as soon as I saw how short the barber was cutting his hair, I almost had a heart attack but I kept my composure. At least he won't need another haircut for a while! Then Ronde was next and I told them not to cut it too short. In the end, I miss Ronde's long hair but do realize I can't grow it forever. Here are the pics I took.

PS. I forgot to keep his hair. I even brought a Ziploc bag with me! I guess it would have been a little embarrassing scooping up all his hair off the ground in front of about 10 marines..hahaThe barber gave Ronde a little container of lollipops to entertain him. Can you see his little hands holding it. Too cute!

AJ won't stop rubbing his head..hahaEating their lollipops. Ronde ate 2 by the time AJ finished one!

Waikiki Aquarium

AJ looking at the fishes

I thought this one looked neat!

Daddy and Ronde. Ronde had a great time running to all the different fish tanks. There were fish there bigger than him! I only wish I got a picture of those fish.

AJ got to hold a hermit crab and touch a sea urchin. He is braver than me!

The Waikiki Aquarium is very small. It takes less than an hour to walk through the whole thing. We got to watch the big groupers and sharks eat squid. Ronde's favorite part was looking at the jelly fish and AJ had fun controlling a camera that fed to a tv screen with live video from inside the shark tank. It was a great thing to do with the kids and only cost us $12 for all four of us.

I'm a brunette!

My diaper cake!

My friend Alicia has a suprise baby shower Sunday. She is expecting a baby girl and due in November. Since this will be her second girl, she pretty much has everything she needs for a girl. So I decided that I would make a diaper cake. I've never heard of these until a year ago and never had the occasion to make one till now. I looked up hundreds of diaper cakes online and found one I loved so I used it as my inspiration. Here is the final product..

Ronde is just as sweet as a peach!

His face just cracks me up..He melts my heart :)

Bumper Boats and Put Put Golf..again!

We went back to Tiki Island (located on base) to go on the bumper boats. At $5 per adult and kids free we couldn't resist. The bumper boats had squirt guns attached to them. AJ sat with Andre and Ronde sat with me. Let me tell you, it was the best family thing we've done together. AJ kept squirting me and I could not stop laughing. We will definetly have to go back again. After that we ate a quick lunch then played a round of put put golf. This time AJ got to play without his cast. He is really good at it. He even takes a practice swing before he hits the ball. It's so adorable. I think he'll be great at every sport when he gets older.
Ronde didn't play this time but I think we've discovered his favorite kind of chips..Lays Barbecue chips.
He is getting so tall!

Popcorn and a Movie

AJ had his friend Malakai over for a good ole boys night. I got AJ's diego couch/bed out and dragged out AJ's toddler mattress to give them the best spot in the house. I made them popcorn and they enjoyed watching Bolt and Monsters Inc. In the end they both passed out and had a sleepover in the living room. It was very cute!

AJ had a mouth full of popcorn.

Girls Night

Arycca and I had a girls night. It was our turn since the guys went out the previous weekend. We decided to be 23 years old for once and go to a night club. It was a lot of fun to have a couple drinks and dance. It is also nice to get dressed up every once in a while.

Swimming Pool!

We took the kids to our friends Trevor and Arycca's apartment to go swimming. Arycca ran to the mall real quick which ended up not being quick at all. So the guys and the kids took a nice evening swim. AJ hasn't been in a swimming pool, besides his baby pool, since he was a couple months old. Ronde has never been in a pool at all.

Ronde loves bath time so I expected him to love the pool but I was wrong. He cried almost the entire time. I don't get it...lol. AJ on the other hand loved it! I've decided to suck it up and find a nice bathing suit and start taking the kids to the pool located on base. (Where we live).
