My Birthday Celebration

I had an amazing 25th birthday. Andre had that day off from work which just worked out perfectly! Andre took the boys shopping to pick out a birthday present for me as well as cards. They came home with them wrapped and AJ came walking up to me with my presents. I was so happy to read the cards that the boys picked out specially for me. The gifts were amazing. Everything I needed for an at home pedicure. I got birthday cards in the mail that day from my mom, sister, and Grandma. They were so sweet and the card from my sister had a great little surprise. She sent me pictures of her and I growing up together and celebrating our birthdays together. Her birthday is just 2 days before mine, June 29th.
Andre and the boys took me out to dinner at the Olive Garden. It was delicious as always. Andre surprised me with a chocolate cake from the waitress. I wasn't expecting it at all and I thought it was very sweet of him. After dinner, we went for a walk at our favorite park. It was the perfect day! Andre even gave me a pedicure. I love him!

Cars Premier

We took the boys to see the new Cars movie the weekend it premiered. We were so excited to take all the boys especially since AJ has always been obsessed with Lighting McQueen. The boys enjoyed the movie, although I thought it was aimed to an older age group than the previous Cars movie. Before we watched the movie, we walked around Bricktown and looked in all the shops in the area. Then we took a walk along the canal. I did not bring my camera so I snapped these shots off my cell phone. I was so inspired while I was walking around that I'm planning on going back to get some really great pictures of the boys.

4th of July

We had a fabulous 4th of July. Our plans consisted of fishing at a lake and then going to watch fireworks with some friends. We ended up not going to watch fireworks with friend and the kids because the fireworks were just so late, at 10pm, for Jamal. Jamal is usually in bed by 7pm so we knew he would be cranky. Andre also need to just have some down time before his deployment. He left July 6 and will be back in 3 weeks. On the 4th of July night, once the kids were in bed, Andre and I watched some fireworks from our roof top. I joked that I just checked off an experience of my "Romantic Bucket List".
Things have been so hectic around here; adjusting to Andre leaving on deployment, college, taking care of the kids, and household. I've hardly had anytime to blog but I'm going to catch up as much as I can!
