Playing in the sand..

This was pretty much a failed attempt of taking portraits at the beach. As you can see, the boys had a lot of fun running around, throwing sand, and not looking at my camera..lol. It was so hot outside, I thought I was going to faint so we only stayed for about 30 mins. Next time I will try this at a park with less distractions. I'm just glad they had fun!

Photoshop #2

Bowling on Labor Day

We went bowling with our friends for Labor Day. It was AJ's first time bowling. Andre helped him out with his first turn but after that, he was non stop. He had a whole lane to himself and just kept on rolling the balls down the lane. We had the gutter bumpers up and the ball did take a couple minutes before it actually reached the pins but I'm proud of him. He had a great time and was so sad to leave the bowling alley when we were done!

Photoshop

I've been messing around on photoshop trying to teach myself how to make pictures look more professional. I would love to be able to take my own children's portraits instead of going to Sears and spending a fortune. I will post more pictures as I edit them!!

Andre's 24th Birthday

Andre's 24th birthday was yesterday. I bought him a Cold Stone ice cream cake that had red velvet and Oreo's, his 2 favorite flavors. We went to one of his friend's house last night for liver and chitterlings. Andre's request. Yuck!! That was the first time I've tried chitterlings and they were really good but it was hard to get past what exactly I was eating. After we ate, we sat down to play some cards, Pu soy dos. I've never heard of this card game but it was A LOT of fun!
We stayed till 3am and thankfully were able to put our kids down to bed at their house earlier that night.

He is so cute when he's sleeping! I'm a little sad that I wasn't in any of these pics!

Ronde's 18 month old check up

Today Ronde had his 18 month old check up. He had to get 2 shots. Thank goodness Andre took him to the doctors while I stayed at home with AJ. It always makes me sad to watch them get shots. I asked Andre if he would take my camera with him to take pictures for my blog. He said no =( lol I figured he wouldn't be into that. Here is his latest weight and height! Height=32.75 inches and weight=23.4lbsWe had Early Intervention come to our house a couple times to enroll and evaluate Ronde. Ronde's doctor recommended it for Ronde's speech. He has always been pretty quiet and never said "words". AJ was in the Early Intervention program for speech and eating. AJ would never eat anything!!! The pickiest eater I have ever laid eyes on. He was also on baby food till he was 18 months old!! Just unbelievable what I had to go through with him. Anyways..lol So Ronde had his first official home visit to actually begin working with his speech and the lady told me that she didn't think he needed it any more. I was thinking the same thing! Within the last 2 weeks, Ronde is mimicking almost everything we say. He is talking way more than AJ was at this age. He has said things like "good morning", "haircut", "pants on", "bye bye daddy" and a lot more! I'm very happy and relieved that I don't have to go through this program again!
What a cute smile!! I love my boys!!

Ronde's first haircut

About every time I left the house and went in public, someone would mistaken Ronde for a girl. I just don't understand how since he wears boys clothes and polo shirts all the time. Anyway, so I decided maybe it was time to cut his hair. His roots were changing texture and curling while the ends of his hair were straight. I took him to a barber shop on base where a lot of military men go to get haircuts. That was were AJ got his first haircut as well. I expected that Ronde would cry because every time I brush his hair he cried..lol. Surprisingly he did wonderful! AJ was first (He didn't need a haircut but he wanted one because he knows that he'll get a lollipop)and I told them to cut it short and as soon as I saw how short the barber was cutting his hair, I almost had a heart attack but I kept my composure. At least he won't need another haircut for a while! Then Ronde was next and I told them not to cut it too short. In the end, I miss Ronde's long hair but do realize I can't grow it forever. Here are the pics I took.

PS. I forgot to keep his hair. I even brought a Ziploc bag with me! I guess it would have been a little embarrassing scooping up all his hair off the ground in front of about 10 marines..hahaThe barber gave Ronde a little container of lollipops to entertain him. Can you see his little hands holding it. Too cute!

AJ won't stop rubbing his head..hahaEating their lollipops. Ronde ate 2 by the time AJ finished one!
