Our family portraits are here!! I'm so excited. I love all of them! I told myself that I would only order one family portrait and one portrait of all 3 boys. It's a hard decision but I've decided on buying the first 2 portraits posted here. At least I'll have the rest of them on my blog to always look back on. I'm thrilled that I found an amazing photography studio in Oklahoma. Jamal is already scheduled for an appointment for his 1 year photos.
Speaking of which, Jamal turned 7 months old today! I will post his 7 month old update sometime this weekend.

Friday Fishing
Andre had the day off today so we spent the entire day outside and fishing. We went to Draper Lake and fished out there. We didn't catch anything. I really enjoyed the drive through the country to get there. When we were driving home, our friends, The Halls, called us and asked if we wanted to go fishing with them. I thought it was a funny coincidence. We met up with them at Lake Thunderbird State Park. We did a little fishing but we mostly just hung out, the kids played, and we watched the sunset. A perfect beginning to our weekend. Tomorrow we have our family portraits. Hopefully I will have a sneak peek to post by tomorrow.

Oklahoma City Zoo
We went to the zoo today. It was 83 degrees and it felt so hot outside. I can't imagine what it will feel like in the middle of summer. We saw a Sea Lion Show which was cute. We walked through a bird exhibit where the birds could land on your and you could also feed them nectar. Ronde and Andre got bit by a bird. We saw a pack of wolves and they were biting each other. It was neat to see them up close! I took the boys into the petting zoo and they got to see bunnies, pigs, sheep, donkeys, and goats. At the end of our day at the zoo, we let the boys play on a huge playground before we left. I think we wore them out enough that they will go to bed early tonight. Jamal was a perfect angel the entire time! Not one peep from him.

Blog Makeover!
Tricycles and Milkshakes
We went for a walk on a nature trail near our house. I love it because there is 3 playgrounds along the walk. There is a creek and bridges to cross. It's so peaceful there. We always go to McDonalds before our walks and get milkshakes for the boys and iced coffee for Andre and I. AJ put his milkshake in the trunk of the tricycle and would stop to take sips. Ronde picked a bunch of flowers for me. He is so sweet! Andre attempted to go fishing but the thunder clouds started rolling in. I love when we go for our family walks.

St. Patrick's Day Recap
St. Patrick's Day was yesterday. I cooked the traditional corned beef, carrots, potatoes, and cabbage. I usually cook it all on the stove but this year I cooked it in a crock pot. It came out great! AJ ate all his dinner and earned himself an ice cream sundae.
I've been starting to introduce more table food to Jamal. He is starting to chew when you put food in his mouth which is a great sign. Last night, I gave him some cabbage. He loved it!
(There is cabbage hanging out of his mouth..ha!)
Andre has a flight today so he'll be gone most of the day. Tomorrow we plan on going to the zoo! It will be Jamal's first time going. I hope to have a lot of updates over the weekend =)

Jamal and Ronde's Check Up
Jamal had his 6 month check up and Ronde had his 3 year old check up today. It was probably the most traumatic experience for them both. They needed 3 shots each and you could probably hear them both screaming from all the way in the waiting room. Ronde usually never cries when he gets shots but I think this nurse is a little rougher when giving shots although she is the sweetest nurse I've ever met. Poor Ronde could barely walk after those shots. Jamal weighs 19.8 lbs and Ronde weighs 35 lbs. I was a little surprised Ronde weighed so much and now I'm really curious to know how much AJ weighs. I'm sure Ronde has passed him up by now. The nurse gave the boys coupons for a free ice cream cone from McDonalds that we will probably use tomorrow.
I went shopping today because I wasn't happy with the outfits I picked out for Andre and I for our family portraits. I exchanged them for better ones and also picked up pajamas for Jamal. I bought his size 12 months even though he's only 6 1/2 months old. I wanted to make sure he'll get some use out of them. I came home and put his new jammies on thinking they would be too big but instead, they looked kinda tight!
(Of coarse I picked out monkey jammies.. It goes with his nursery theme. I also plan on doing a monkey themed birthday party for when he turns 1 year old )
Ronde must have been worn out after getting those shots because he passed out at the dinner table. He hasn't done that since he was a baby!
Love him!!!!!!!
