In the Kitchen

This little turkey knows exactly where I keep my oven mitts. The boys love pretending that they are cooking. They will make me come in their room and pretend that we are grocery shopping. They pick up random toys and put them in a bucket. Then they have pretend picnics at the kitchen table. It really is so cute. Here is Ronde pretending to cook. The oven was off of coarse but it was so cute I had to take a picture.

Today I went and picked up a big box of organic fruits and vegetables from a family friend. My mom payes $20 for the box and picks it up every Friday. Since my mom is out of town, I'm picking up the fruits and vegetables. It's been great so far because I can eat ALOT of fruit. The veggies are the hard part! I have to get creative and think of ways to cook them all. Since it's just me and the kids right now, I don't usually buy so much vegetables at the grocery store. Mostly because I go to my moms house often for dinner since she just lives right around the corner from me. I've done pretty well so far cooking up all the veggies from last weeks order. I made a big batch of soup, sauteed spinach with bacon, fried potatoes, and a huge salad.

Can you believe all this produce is just $20?! That's a deal for organic foods. Just the pint of blueberries alone would cost over $4.00 at the store. Ronde calls them "blueblurries" SO CUTE!!
