My best friend Heather and I planned a beach day with the kids. We don't get to hang out often since we live an hour away from each other. We met at Madeira Beach. Surprisingly, it wasn't crowded even though it's summer. We packed a lunch but after we were there for 2 hours, we couldn't wait to get home. We ended up eating lunch at Heather's house instead. The kids did amazing. They didn't go past the waves so we didn't need to be in the water with them. It was so nice to relax on the beach and catch up with Heather. It was a great time! I asked AJ if he was having fun and he said "This is the greatest adventure!"

AJ had so much fun hanging out with his God brother Logan. They are only a month apart and I love that AJ has such a great friend to play and grow up with so close in age. They have a lot in common. Logan's daddy is in the Coast Guard and of coarse AJ's daddy is in the Navy. Both of their daddies are away right now. Logan was so cute, he told AJ "Hey, let's play son and daddy. I'm the daddy and you're the son." Can you tell they miss their daddies?? Melts my heart!
